I just spent a fabulous Saturday with Kat and Jason in San Francisco! Before the shoot, we had a great lunch at one of their favorite restaurants. Yumm!!
Then we walked around South of Market and had a great time hanging around San Francisco. Kat and Jason in a nice alley:
Jason and Kat – still in San Francisco, not the Caribbean!
Kat and Jason:
There is construction equipment all over the place:
We had a lot of fun with the casual look, then switched to a dressier look. Jason and Kat look great!!
They really have a great city look!!
I like to tell stories with photos. A wedding has a natural story. With a lifestyle shoot it’s really fun to tell some stories that follow a couple doing some of their favorite things. Like exploring the city. And enjoying an evening in San Francisco.
For some of these shots, we got some inspiration from the paparazzi. Here Jason and Kat are having coffee, when a photographer sneaks a few snaps. Of Jason…
… and Kat.
The photographer catches up with them coming out of an elevator on their way to a private party. Here’s the classic paparazzi catch of Kat and Jason coming out of an elevator:

After coffee, we walked down to the Embarcadero. We are still in the South of Market Area.
We were hoping to get some shots down on the Embarcadero with the lights in the background. Kat and Jason:

We were having so much fun! We even kept shooting after dark! These last two are near the Bay Bridge:
I had so much fun this Saturday! Kat and Jason, you guys are great!!!
I can’t believe how much I laughed yesterday with Rosemarie and Allan! We got together in Davis yesterday for a lifestyle shoot and joked around the entire time! Not just joking, I mean really cracking up laughing!
So, I had to start this post with a couple of shots of Rosemarie and Allan having some fun.
Here’s Rosemarie…
… and Allan.
It was supposed to rain yesterday, but instead we had great weather for a walk along Putah Creek.
We liked this wall as a backdrop.
Allan and Rosemarie outside the bus terminal in Davis.
We fell in love with this waterfall!
They have a ton of energy!!
This is winter in Davis! It looks pretty much the same in summer.
We had so much fun! And we got a great mix of images!
Allan and Rosemarie.
This mural is on the wall of a pizza parlor in Davis. Rosemarie and Allan really seem to be enjoying the kissing part of this shot!!
I had a fabulous time yesterday with Rosemarie and Allan!!!
I have so many favorites from my engagement session shoot with Jessica and Nathan, I couldn’t fit them all into one blog entry! I thought I’d add the rest of the photos to the ones I posted already and make a slide show. Here’s my collection of favorite picks from Jessica and Nathan’s Davis CA engagement photography session!
I had the best time yesterday – in the fog! I did an engagement photo session with Jessica and Nathan, a totally fun, fantastic couple!!.
We met in the morning, downtown Davis, long before fog lifted. That’s fog behind them!
Then we walked around Davis, talked, got to know each other, joked around, and took a lot of photos! Everyone was having fun trying out ideas!
There’s this great mural downtown Davis. Here’s Nathan posing with one of the characters:
Jessica and Nathan both have gorgeous eyes!
This is a great place to sit together and kiss! Not only because because it’s a nice, romantic street cafe, but also because there is a radiant space heater right above them!
Jessica and Nathan were so much fun to spend the morning with!
They look great together!
It was cold! I was all wrapped up. Jessica had a coat to put on between shots. With all that fog in the background, it really was cold enough for that coat!
We loved these leaves! Nathan must have thick blood, he went around with no coat all morning! I found out his family is from the same part of LA that I’m from. I don’t know where he got his immunity from the cold!
We loved this colorful wall. A great place to have some fun!
Jessica and Nathan at the Davis Farmers Market:
They are such a great couple!
Jessica at the Davis train station:
I love they way they connect!
And kiss!
Jessica and Nathan, I loved shooting your engagement photos!! You are great!!
I was so excited to do a couple lifestyle session with Annamiek and RH! They are really great, fun couple with lots going on. Annamiek and RH are an absolute blast to be with!!
It got even better when we decided to do a James Bond theme shoot! I knew RH would look great in a Tux. And Annamiek was totally into being a Bond Girl for the shoot.
I love the wall we found as a background here! RH did a great job playing the stoic Bond in their session, but we were having so much fun getting this shot the Bond Girl is laughing and even James Bond has a bit of a smile.
Being winter, it probably wasn’t the right weather for this dress. Yet, Annamiek’s dress goes great with the James Bond theme! It was a little cold that day – she kept a coat around to warm up between shots!
RH does look great in a Tux!!!
Since the theme was James Bond, we needed some “Oh James!” shots.
RH is a pilot, so we thought we’d pop over to the local airport. I think the planes go well with the whole James Bond theme. Since Annamiek and RH have a personal connection to this airport, that’s even so much better!!
While we were shooting, a plane came by and the prop wash blew over us like crazy! It made a great wind machine!! I love this wind-blown look!
The airport matched Annamiek and RH’s James Bond theme so well!
In the end, James Bond and the Girl always end up together; a fitting theme for such a close couple.
It was so absolutely fabulous to share some time with such a great, fun couple! Annamiek and RH, you’re the best!!
